G by GUESS, 'is an American mid-range lifestyle brand by Guess. The division was originally formed to attract a younger audience than its parent company. Their goods are available in-store and the division's online-store.[1]
1991–Present: Foundation and slight expansion
G by Guess was founded in May 1991 as a retail concept, many of the clothing designed was inspired by the Marciano brothers' passion for their California lifestyle they enjoyed when they first moved to the United States. G By Guess opened their first store in Escondido, CA that same year. In 2008Guess opens 34 stores and won Retail Store Design of the Year. In 2010, Guess added ten more stores and a year later, they became the official sponsor at the KIIS-FM Jingle Ball in Los Angeles. In 2009, Pulse was launched as G By GUESS's loyalty card, it organizes promotions/events for G by GUESS. Current point system is 1 point every $1 before tax. After 150 points you gain $10 credit toward a purchase. Pulse also sends out emails about sales ahead of time for in store and online. There have also been a few contests and awards given out if shopping specific dates.
Some prizes in the past include custom G by GUESS beach cruisers, trips to Indio, CA for the Coachella Music Festival, and promotional items with purchases during dates or above specific price points.
A reoccurring event for Pulse Members only is Pulse Unplugged where members receive 30% off everything in store, some restrictions may apply.
