The Gas Safe Register is the official registration scheme in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Guernsey for installers and maintenance engineers dealing with natural gas appliances. Gas Safe Register replaces the previous system run by CORGI as of 1 April 2009 (Northern Ireland as of 1 April 2010).[1][2][3]

All persons employed to work on gas appliances in the United Kingdom, the Isle of Man and Guernsey must be registered with the Gas Safe Register in order to work lawfully.[4]

To become certified installers must hold the relevant ACS, NVQ or SVQ qualifications.[5]

The scheme is administered by Capita Group on behalf of the Health and Safety Executive.[4]
