Gotland College
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gotland University (Swedish: Högskolan på Gotland) is a högskola located in Visby on Gotland, Sweden. The school is not a university according to the official Swedish terminology since it is not authorized to issue PhD degrees.
The university college was established in 1998 and is thus one of the youngest institutions of higher education in Sweden. It has around 4 300 registered students, many of them part-time students.[1] The main building is located in central Visby, between the city marina and the Almedalen park. The Rindi Student Union, which organises the students, has its own building, called Rindi-borgen.
