Greta was an American hard rock band formed in 1992 by Paul Plagens, Kyle Baer, Josh Gordon, and Brad Wilk. Wilk left the band to join Rage Against the Machine and was replaced by Scott Carneghi (Height of Roman Fashion). Their debut, 1993's No Biting, is along the lines of Alice in Chains or early Pearl Jam, with lyrics of a tenor that necessitated the release of a "clean" version of the CD.[1]

The band released two albums on Mercury Records, but were dropped from the label, and they disbanded and broke up in 1995.
