High-dimensional space

In mathematics a high-dimensional space is a vector space with more than the usual 2 or 3 spatial dimensions of familiar experience. Linear algebra extendeds naturally to deal with these.

Applications

• In machine learning and data mining, high dimensional spaces are used to gain insight into data e.g word embedding.
• In physics , additional dimensions appear in theories for unifying fundamental forces.
