English: This is one of a series paintings in St Paul's Church in Sandomierz, Poland, depicting blood libel. This 18th-century painting depicts one scene from the story of Simon of Trent. Before the recent restoration the paintings in St. Paul's church contained texts taken from the liturgy of Simon of Trent. The paintings were commissioned in the aftermath of two blood libels in Sandomierz in 1698 and 1710.
