Description The Malaysian Giant Jungle Nymph Heteropteryx dilitata at Bristol Zoo, Bristol, England. This is one of the heaviest insects in the world.
Lives in the Cameron Highlands of Malaysia. Females have no wings, male have wings and can fly. This one is a female (females are green, males are brown).
Nymph is another word for larva (the life cycle stage before adulthood) but in this case the word has been used for the adult as well.
