Summary

Description

A scan from a 35mm transparency which I took in Kyrgyzstan in July 2002. The mountain Khan Tengri (6995m) is a notable peak in the Tien Shan mountain range, on the Kyrgyz border with Kazakhstan and close to their joint border with China. The photo was taken from the Inylchek base camp on the South Inylchek glacier. This scan is in the Public Domain (however, I retain ownership and copyright of the original transparency and any higher-resolution scans derived from it). If the image is used ouside Wikipedia, a photographer's credit (Simon Garbutt) would be appreciated.
