Note: The Florida and the other parts of Louisiana purchase date is incorrect. The land was ceded by Spain in 1819 but formal occupation began in 1821. Alaska and Hawaii are not shown because they were purchased after 1853. Originally in jpg format but was converted to png because of information can be seen better with png than jpg.
