The picture says that Doom 3 derieves from original Doom engine. It's rather the successor of Quake3 engine. Also the small letters are almost unreadable. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 83.23.188.17 (talkcontribs) date.

The Engines of Quake 1 and 2 are retroactively referred to as "id Tech 1" and "id Tech 2" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Id_Tech), while Doom 3 definitely has a connection to the "Quake Engines" (also referred to as "id Tech 4"). The Call of Duty 2 Engine (called IW Engine 2.0 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IW_engine) is also based of idTech 3. The "Battlefield 2 Engine" is called "Refractor 2" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Refractor_Engine). "Frostbite" and many others are missing. Is this a diagram about engines or about games? The categorization has no source whatsoever and some of the mentioned engines do not even fit the given description. I would recommend removing this diagram completely as it is extremely inaccurate and incomplete. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.91.201.76 (talk) 20:09, 16 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
