Ines Ligron (born November 16, 1962), is a French fashion and beauty expert best known for working with celebrities, models, fashion houses, beauty firms, advertising agencies, and magazine editors. In 1997, she became Miss Universe national-director in Japan and she revamped the pageant from a non-existent show, into a multi-million dollar sponsorship and television event. She produced 5 runner-ups during her 10 years with Miss Universe which is now considered number one in beauty events across japan.

Ines has always been a television person because of her personality. She appeared in several documentaries in Japan (NHK, TBS, NTV, Fuji, TV Tokyo, TV Asahi). The incredible impact that Ines has among Japanese woman is of a mentor, a role model and a life-style teacher. Her fans age ranges between 7 to 70 years old!

Last year, Inés filmed a French reality television series called "Les Anges Gardiens" (The gardian Angels) with Jean-Claude Van Damme and Jean-Roch. Inés is married to Kenneth Ken Berger, whom she met in Hong Kong when aged 30. "[1]

Early life

Ines was born Agnes Ligron in Paris, France, the daughter of Pierre and Monique Ligron. Ines changed her fisrt name from Agnes to Ines when she was 25, because she started working in Spain where people could not say her name correctly, and in English it sounded too old fashion. Ines grew up in the South of France near Montpellier because her parents had to leave Paris due to allergies of her younger brother. Ines has one sister Mireille Ligron and one brother philippe Ligron. She studied literature, learned 3 languages and enrolled in fashion and cosmetic school in Montpelleir called Inter Beaute. Before working as the National Director of Miss Universe in Japan, she worked with European cosmetic companies and she designed a complete line of cosmetics (make-up and skin care for Montagut to be sold in China. Ines worked with IMG Models after moving to Hong Kong.[2]

In 1995, Ligron became the Asia/Pacific director of IMG model in Hong Kong.[1]

Career

Although Ines works with high-profile clients and has a very notable fashion sense, she never stayed in one place and traveled Asia regularly to work as a freelance for international projects , giving her the opportunity to meet and work with some high-profile clients. Acting as an agent for some Hollywood agencies, she has worked with Sarah Jessica Parker, Penelope Cruz, Jennifer Lopez, Maria Sharaprova, Beyonce, securing booking to contracts for endorsements and for multi-medias events.

Ines based in Hong Kong, acted as IMG MOdels Asia-Pacific Director. IMG Models is a powerful model agency with headquarters in New York with celebrity supermodels (Tyra Banks, Milla Jollowitch, Liv Tyler, Kate Moss, Gisele, Carolyn Murphy, Alek Wek, Angela Lindervall, Nicki Taylor, Lauren Hutton etc...).

Ines with the help of her numerous apparitions on National televisions in Japan, france and Hong Kong as a fashion leader, she has reached a high level of followers. Which led her to sign a multi-year contract with a tele marketing company called Oak Lawn Marketing whom produced a series of 8 DVDs being the bible of fashion and beauty for any woman in Japan. Ines DVDS sales are combined with the 4 books that she has published (3 in Japan and 1 in Thailand).

Ines was appointed Best National Director by the Miss Universe Organization.

Produced a best seller book:

Ines' book called "77 secret to beauty" published by Magazine House, which made it on several Bestseller List, talks about styling tips and observations from a trainer of models and Miss universe runner-ups point of view. The main focus of her method being about gaining confidence. Also giving advice about everything style when it comes to your home décor, dressing stylishly, travel, and entertaining. The success of the book generated a "part-two" which also sold tremendously.

Based on the success of her 2 previous books, Ines produced a magazine-book (called a mook) which was not only sold in bookstore in Japan, Hong Kong, Seoul, singapore, Paris and New York city, but also was chosen and used as a workbook for the famous beauty and fashion schools chain in Japan called Vantan.

Ines just published 2 books in Thailand (year 2011) and one more book in Japan (year 2012)

Presently

Ines gives seminars about fashion and beauty around the world. She travels to China to search for new model faces. She serves as a judge regularly during fashion and beauty events, competitions or television shows.

Ines gives seminars for parents of Autistic children around the world and she is a passionate for the cause.

Ines appears several times a day on numerous Japanese television chanels promoting her Ines Secret DVDs. She is also featured in women magazines in Japan. She is currently ranked by the Rakuten website as number 6 most influential personality in beauty and style (and the only foreigner to appear in the top 10 list).
