Biography

He was a pious Muslim, and a hajji. He was the personal advisor of the Kabardian prince Aslanbek I. In 1722 he joined diplomatic meetings with Russia.[2] He gained fame for reforming the Kabardian justice system probably based on the Quran and Adyghe Xabze.[3] He played a big role in the Battle of Kanzhal.[4] He opposed the idea of mandate and supported full independence. He died in 1749 at his home village.[5]
