Jamie Thomson

Jamie Thomson is the author of several 'choose-your-own-adventure' type gamebooks. His contributions to the genre include four series: Duelmaster, Falcon, and Way of the Tiger (all co-written with Mark Smith) and Fabled Lands. He also co-wrote two books for the Fighting Fantasy series: Talisman of Death and Sword of the Samurai, again with Mark Smith. He also co-wrote an adventure game, The Tower of Despair.

Thomson was Assistant Editor of White Dwarf magazine, and a contributor to Warlock magazine.

He cites his gaming career as having begun with Original Dungeons and Dragons in 1976.

Jamie was born in Iran, but grew up in Brighton where he met Mark Smith at school there. He graduated from Kent University with a degree in politics and government.

Thomson was one of the founders of the London based games company Black Cactus, which released the PC games Warrior Kings and Warrior Kings: Battles.
