Michalovce District in the Kosice Region

Jastrabie pri Michalovciach (Slovak pronunciation: [ˈjastrabɪe pri ˈmixalɔwtsɪɐx]; Hungarian: Alsókánya) is a village and municipality in Michalovce District in the Kosice Region of eastern Slovakia.

History

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1337.

Geography

The village lies at an altitude of 104 metres and covers an area of 5.74 km2 (2.22 sq mi) (2020-06-30/-07-01).[1]

Ethnicity

The population is about 99% Slovak in ethnicity.

Culture

The village has a small public library, a football pitch and a food store.
