Jičín District (Czech: okres Jičín) is a district (okres) within the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. Its capital is the town of Jičín.

Tourism

The district includes a number of natural reserves. The best known of these is the Bohemian Paradise Landscape Park, which includes the Prachov Rocks range of sandstone formations.

The Kost Castle is the most important cultural sight in the district.

Economy

The district is home to the largest deposit of high-quality glass sand within the Czech Republic.[2]
