[edit] History

KRUZ signed on with the call letters KTMS-FM. In time, the station would go through format changes and call sign changes before becoming a top 40 station branded as "Y97" with the KHTY call letters. In 1998, the station switched to a smooth jazz format. In March 2005, Cumulus decided to move the smooth jazz format to 106.3 KMGQ. The modern adult contemporary format on KRUZ 103.3 was then moved to this station. As a result, the station changed its call letters to KRUZ.

[edit] Transmission Problem

On Saturday, February 19th, 2011 at 5:03am, KRUZ's transmitter went off the air due to heavy rain storms. On Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 6am KRUZ went back on the air.
