Kurt Ferdinand Krieger (September 16, 1926 in Traisen, Austria – August 16, 1970 in St. Louis, Missouri), nicknamed "Dutch", was a Major League Baseball player who played pitcher from 1949 to 1951 after graduating from Washington University in St. Louis.[1] Kurt is the first person born in Austria to play Major League Baseball. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals.
