Leonardo Rodrigues Pereira (born on 22 September 1987 in Vila Velha, Brazil), commonly known as Leonardo, is a Brazilian football player currently playing as an attacking midfielder for AEK Athens in the Greek Super League.
Club career
AEK Athens
On 6 August 2009 AEK Athens signed Leonardo on a five year contract [1]. He was a personal choice of AEK Athens' manager Dušan Bajević. In AEK Athens he reunited with his former manager in Thrasyvoulos, now assistant manager in AEK Athens, Lysandros Georgamlis. On 20 August 2009 Leonardo made his debut for AEK Athens, in the game against Vaslui in the Europa League [2]. Leonardo scored his first goal a game against Panionios on 6 December 2009 [3]. During the 2010-2011 season Leonardo was part of a deal, along with 400,000 euros and was transfered to Panionios for Giannis Maniatis.
