The Lettered Aracari (Pteroglossus inscriptus) is a species of bird in the toucan family.
[edit] Distribution and habitat
It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical swamps, and heavily degraded former forest. They are quite a large bird and they weigh 250-500g.

It is one of the smaller toucans, weighing 130 g (4.6 oz) and being 29 cm (11.5 inches) in length.
