Lorna Laidlaw (born 1 February 1963 in Birmingham) is an English actress and director. Laidlaw is known for her roles in the BBC television shows Doctors, Grandpa in My Pocket and Tikkabilla.
In 2011 Laidlaw became a series regular as Mrs Tembe in Doctors, she has also been nominated for several awards most notably she has been nominated for the category of "Best Actress" three years running under the British Soap Awards;[1][2][3] alongside these nominations Laidlaw has also notably been nominated for awards under the Inside Soap Awards for "Best Daytime Star" in 2016 and 2014,[4][5] the National Television Awards for "Serial Drama performance" in 2016[6] and also for the Royal Television Society award in "Best Actress" 2012 for which she was the winner of the category.[7] Laidlaw has also directed several episodes of Doctors.[8]
