Marco Antonio Bassetti, Saint Sebastian, 1620

Marco Antonio Bassetti (1588-1630) was an Italian painter.

He was born in Verona, and was a pupil of Felice Ricci. He afterwards visited Venice, then Rome, where he remained. On his return to Verona he painted a St. Peter and Saints for the church of San Tommaso and a Coronation of the Virgin for Sant' Anastasia. He died from the plague in Verona. One of his pupils was Fra Semplice.
