Marco Liserre is a University Professor in electrical engineering currently Head of the Chair of Power Electronics at the University of Kiel in Kiel, Germany. He was named a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in 2013[1] for his contributions to grid connection of renewable energy systems and industrial drives. He is also a highly cited researcher in the field of engineering according to Thomson/Reuters [2]
