Merritt Giffin (Merritt Hayward Giffin; August 20, 1887 – July 11, 1911) was an American athlete who competed mainly in the discus throw.

He competed for the United States in the 1908 Summer Olympics held in London, Great Britain in the discus throw where he won the silver medal.

He died in Joliet, Illinois.
