Moore Pinnacle (80°13′S 156°49′E / 80.217°S 156.817°E / -80.217; 156.817) is a solitary peak rising to 2,650 metres (8,700 ft) in the southern part of Mount Olympus, in the Britannia Range, Antarctica. In association with Mount Olympus and Byrd Glacier it was named after Captain R.R. Moore, U.S. Navy, commanding officer of USS Mount Olympus, flagship of U.S. Navy Operation Highjump, 1946–47, led by Admiral R.E. Byrd.[1]
