Morpeth Town A.F.C. is a football club based in Morpeth in Northumberland, England. Their home ground is Craik Park in Morpeth, which has a 400m cinder track running around the edge of the pitch. The stadium has a small stand with 100 seats.[1] The clubs traditional colours are amber and black stripes,[2] however in the 2007–08 season Morpeth have worn yellow shirts with black trim.[3] They are currently members of the Northern League Division Two.

Morpeth Town were founded in 1894 following the amalgamation of Morpeth United and Morpeth FC. They played their home matches at Stobhill Cricket Field.[2] They joined the Northern Football Alliance in the 1936–37 season.[4] The club moved to Storey Park in 1954. In the 1983–84 season they were the Northern Football Alliance champions.[4] They won the Northern Alliance Challenge Cup in 1986 as well as the Benevolent Bowl.[2]
In 1994 the club moved to Craik Park and again won the Northern Alliance title and with it promotion to the Northern League Division Two for the 1994–95 season. The following season they were promoted to Division One as champions.[3] In the club's first season in Division One they finished in sixth place and were runners-up in the Northumberland Senior Cup.[2]
The club are backed by Owner/Chairman Ken Beattie who ensures the club remains financially solvent.
Changes have been made at Morpeth Town A.F.C over the summer of 2011. Manager Nick Gray, previously of Seaton Delaval Amateurs has taken over the reins from Journey man Trevor Benjamin. Gray has assembled a 30 man squad for the season 2011–12 with it being reported that he has taken a lot of players from his former team Seaton Delaval Amateurs.[5]
They reached the 4th round of the FA Vase in the 2002–03 season.[citation needed] In 2007 Morpeth beat Blyth Spartans to win the Northumberland Senior Cup at St James' Park in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.[3]

Morpeth play at Craik Park, at Morpeth Common. It has 100 seats in a small stand and is surrounded by a 400 metre cinder track. The track was built in 1972 and is still used for training by Morpeth Harriers Athletics Club, but not competitions.[1]
Morpeth Town moved to the stadium in 1994 and named the stadium Craik Park after father and son W and R Craik who had served as club secretary between 1920 and 1985.[2]
Since then the club has built a covered stand, a new clubhouse, installed floodlights and erected a high fence around the ground.[citation needed]
