Muhammad Qasim Sadiq, commonly known as Baba Jee Sarkar (died November 21, 1943)[1], was a Sufi shaikh and claimed saint who died near the hill station Murree in the town of Mohra Sharif, presently in Pakistan. This is where his urs is kept. [2]
Hazrat Khawaja Baba Ji was born in 1822. His 120-year life is a remarkable tale of Islamic rebirth in this Asian region. He had completed his study in several Islamic disciplines by the age of twenty. He committed himself to praying and teaching the religion of Islam after completing his education[3].
He became unwell as he approached his 120th year. At his bedside, he summoned His Majestic Holiness Crown of Sufis (Mystics) Khaja Ghareeb Nawaz Ameen-ul-Ummat Ala Hazrat Khawaja Pir Muhammad Zahid Khan, known as Khawaja Pir Khan Sahib (RA), who had already gained spiritual heights, and conferred his "Khilafat" on him. People came to his grave to pray after his death. This eventually evolved into a formal shrine administered by his descendants.
