Owen Patrick Smith CBE is an Irish haematologist and the Regius Professor of Physic at Trinity College, Dublin, a position he has held since 2014.[1] He has also been Professor of Haematology since 2002 and is a principal investigator at the Institute of Molecular Medicine. His research focuses on the protein C activation pathway and the systemic inflammatory response syndrome. [2]
