People in Permaculture includes permaculture pioneers such as late Joseph Russell Smith, who took up an antecedent term as the subtitle for Tree Crops: A Permanent Agriculture, a book in which he summed up his long experience experimenting with fruits and nuts as crops for human food and animal feed. 1929[40] Smith saw the world as an inter-related whole and suggested mixed systems of trees and crops underneath. This book inspired many individuals intent on making permaculture a valid means of sustainable food production. Bill Mollison and David Holgrem developed it further, and permaculturists were trained under the umbrella of Bill Moillison's train the trainer system. One early certificated trainer(1993) was April Sampson-Kelly who developed the first Permaculture on -line course which taught and promoted permaculture in more than 50 countries, via permaculturevisions.com people in permaculture.[1][2]Bill Mollison, Geoff Lawton and April Sampson-Kelly. All with more than 20 years experience teaching and promoting Permaculture as a sustainable way of growing food.
