[edit] History
The first Saltgrass Steak House was located in Houston, Texas. The property has expanded to other states, including a location in the Golden Nugget hotel and casino in Laughlin, Nevada.
[edit] The name
The restaurant name was taken from the Salt Grass Trail, an historical journey in which cattlemen would lead their herds to the rich salt grass pastures of the Gulf Coast. Saltgrass has around 35 locations in the state of Texas and single stores in neighboring states. There are several restaurants in the DFW area.[1]
