"He leaves his pregnant wife, Lise..."[edit]
The phrase "He leaves his pregnant wife, Lise, to live at Bald Hills in the countryside with his father and sister, while he goes to war" is a little confusing. It implies that Bolkonsky abandoned his wife so that he himself could live in the countryside with his father and sister. I changed it to "When he goes to war, he leaves his pregnant wife, Lise, at Bald Hills in the countryside with his father and sister."
