Too early

It's far too early for this page to be created. Last year's article wasn't created until December 30th.. and the version of the article that was created before this date was deleted... »—Mikaytalkcontribs 13:19, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

So what if it is early the Olympic Games pages go from 2016, 2020, 2024 and 2028 which are 8-20 Years off, not only 9-10 Months away. I would rather suggest them for deletion rather than this page. (90.205.46.67 (talk) 14:38, 6 September 2008 (UTC))

There's no way to compare the importance and the World-given attention of the Olympic Games with the Big Brother's. Anyway, the article is far better as for now. Victor Lopes (talk) 18:12, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
I understand what you are saying but to have a page for the 2028 Olympics is a bit pathetic though dont you think, I mean no-one knows if we will be alive in 20 years time, at least this article is only 9-10 months in the future. (90.205.46.67 (talk) 22:11, 6 September 2008 (UTC))
No point in deleting this page because its too early, it will only be created again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.96.131.189 (talk) 23:12, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
Well, I also don't know if I'll be alive next year and I'm still planning many things. I'd like to suggest you to take a look at WP:OTHERSTUFF. The former problem of this page was the absence of references, and the large amount of unconfirmed/rumoured information, which is discouraged as per WP:CRYSTAL. Now, all this is solved. Also, one should not say that the page will be created again, because it's possible to block the creation of a page. However, it won't be necessary to block this one, because it'll probably stay. I HAVE INFO BUT I CAN'T PUT IT UP WHY IS THIS?!?!?!

In Star Magazine, they revealed the official release date (Thursday 4th June) but the page is protected and I can't ut it up, why is this and will somebody put the info up for me?!?!?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.70.75.203 (talk) 15:40, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

You need to be a registered user to edit this article, and Channel 4 have yet to announce the start date MSalmon (talk) 17:06, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

On the 21st the program will appear on Radiotimes.com, and once we are three weeks away CH4 will start advertising. Then the date will be added. You may also wish to take CAPS lock off. Darrenhusted (talk) 17:32, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

I've added in that ariel shots of the house were shown in Star, plus a reference. I agree, however, that the start date shouldn't be included yet. Dalejenkins | 11:05, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Start Date

I have found some info about the start date which is Thursday 4 June 2009 here [1]. Should I put it up on the article or not? MSalmon (talk) 19:36, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

Having read some of the BBspy site I would say no, its reports are nothing but second hand rumours which keep contradicted themselves. Ch4 will be the only source to trust for the launch show, although some preview programmes will be listed in next week's TV guides. Darrenhusted (talk) 10:13, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
Ok thanks, just checking because I wasn't sure MSalmon (talk)

Radiotimes.com

Is listing Big Brother: A Decade in the Headlines on 31/05/09 at 10:00pm Ch4, and Big Brother's Big Quiz 03/06/09 at 11:05pm on Ch4. But still not listing BB launch show for 4th June at this moment, I would expect it would be up tomorrow (if the 4th is the launch night). As TV schedules are planned for two weeks ahead I would expect official confirmation to come from Ch4 within 24hrs. Darrenhusted (talk) 10:09, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

Launch OFFICIALLY Confirmed

LAUNCH INFO UP ON RADIO TIMES WEBSITE, SO LAUNCH DATE CAN BE ADDED TO ARTICLE. [2](90.205.46.32 (talk) 16:21, 22 May 2009 (UTC))

I'm happy with it, but we would need a consensus, or possibly wait until Tuesday when the Radio Times comes out. Darrenhusted (talk) 17:37, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
I vote yay. Anyone else? CraftyPirate (talk) 23:49, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
4 votes seems enough, I changed it. Additional sources just incase anybody is still not sure [3][4]. DJ 01:06, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
Additionally on this, Channel4 has begun airing "eye" adverts that confirm the official 4 June date. See here: [5] This could be even further sources for people who need them, namely Msalmon. CraftyPirate (talk) 22:26, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

House pics

We all know that the house pics HAVE been leaked on twitter. However, as the pictures themselves have been deleted and the incident has not been touched upon by and reliable third-party sources, we can't include this infomation yet. I think the best bet is to wait until the photos are officially released - next tuesday. DJ 11:43, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

In the words of Smokey Robinson, I second that motion. Darrenhusted (talk) 11:57, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

RFPP

I'm guessing that Thursday morning (BST) would be a good time to request a three month lock, as we have done for the last three years, to stop what will no doubt be an avalanche of IP activity. Given that we have already had some persistent vandals going on about people being outraged over the live feed I can only expect this will get worse in five days. Darrenhusted (talk) 17:05, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Ooops! Didn't see this comment and requested 3 months already. They gave us 2 months; don't know why but it will do. DJ 18:06, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
