Scottish?

[edit]

The Guardian source says: "The Mac Allisters arrived from Ireland in the 1800s, he says, and have Italian roots too." The Mirror source (talking about his son) says "despite the surname, the Brighton star has Irish roots as opposed to Scottish roots." If the IP editor trying to change the article would like to present any sources supporting the notion that he has Scottish ancestry, please discuss them here.
