The information about Irene does not seem to be accurate - there's an implication that Irene's final fall is in her fight with Priscilla.

In the fight with Priscilla Irene only loses her bad arm. After escaping Irene learns to suppress her Yoki in order to survive and evade the organization. She shows up quite alive in episode 13 where she rescues Clare from Ophilia (who hasn't turned into an Awakened Being yet).

Irene teaches Clare the flash sword skill but realizes Clare's skill with the flash sword is poor at best. At this point Irene hacks off her good arm and gives it to Clare (recall Ophilia hacked to bits Clare's good arm in an earlier fight).

After Clare and Irene part a visitor from the organization discovers Irene. With no arms Irene is clearly outmatched. While it's implied that the visitor is likely going to kill Irene, the act of killing is never shown and considering Irene's previous number #2 position there's something to be said about the possibility of her surviving an attack through some other skill. It is also stated by her that she would most likely only stand a chance if she had both her arms, with her implying that Rafaela is far more powerful than her #5 ranking would make one believe. An assumption shouldn't either way on whether she died.--SalamandraNinja 23:15, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am wondering if it's a good idea to heavily imply the existence of other seasons being developed without sources to back this up as it seems to reflect moreso the wishful thinking of the author rather than fact. Has it been confirmed that additional seasons are being planned? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.167.42.243 (talk) 23:51, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Claymore 2nd Season

[edit]

Any one knows if there will be another season?

Clare and her freinds going against the organization will be interesting. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.184.9.91 (talk) 17:42, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speculation and personal feelings aside, the anime's ending doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense WITHOUT a second season to explain what just happened. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.149.184.139 (talk) 02:58, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Miria preview.jpg

[edit]

Image:Miria preview.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Why an article for the TV series?

[edit]

Why you people not just add a "differences between anime and manga" section in the Claymore main article? The anime is at most parts equal manga. I don't think there is a sense to make a whole new article providing almost the same material as the other one. Note 99% of this article talk about things that also can be applied to manga. Why we dont just join the articles and change the Claymore (manga) name to Claymore (anime)? SSPecter | 15:45, 3 October 2007 (UTC).

I really don't know the reason for this article! I mean... C'MON! I suggest a deletion asap (I can't do that myself 'cause... well... I don't know how XP). - Access Timeco 20:45, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I also think this article is unnecessary, most of what is here is in the other article and a big part of what is unique to this article is not really needed in an encyclopedia article. If no one is going to delete this article it should be at least renamed to " Claymore (Anime)" because "TV series" is mostly used for animated series that are not Japanese or live action series.David13579 21:13, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I can tell from the page, the manga is still in progress, so it'll probably do nothing but grow divergent from the anime from this point on. If you're really concerned about redundancy, you could change the plot summary on the anime to something like "The series closely follows the plot of volumes 1 through (whatever) of the manga". That still leaves localization, episode structure, music, DVD availability, which notable industry figures worked on the series, and differences from the manga to fill out the article. --DocumentN 22:33, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Why not do this to every other anime/manga article then? Many other anime diverge from the manga and still share the same article with just a little section explaining the differences added. David13579 21:12, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Because I don't feel like it, because there's little profit to me in doing so, and because I don't possess much anime/manga knowledge that isn't already on or from Wikipedia. --DocumentN 22:09, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that most of this article seems unnecessary. Things like DVDs, staff, music, episodes info (which this article does NOT include) can also be added in the "anime series" section of the manga page. Unless a lot of people feel for these things to need a seperate article.

But at least having the characters and plot summaries, techniques, uniforms etc here again seems unnecessary. I agree that a "Differences between anime and manga" section should be enough, especially since the anime was so close to the manga most of the time. I propose for this article to be deleted or merged (i.e. useful information not yet in the manga article shouldn't be simply deleted).Minikui 09:03, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I do think think this article is not totally redundant, it may lack some information by the time being but it can be used for all future animation productions related with Claymore (if any), merging it with the manga article is a bit senseless since they are different things (animation frames vs manga books) even if the core is basically the same, as far as i see you cannot have a preview of the anime characters (in color) anywhere else also the claymore symbols and the cast roles and first appearances. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nekoendy (talkcontribs) 09:56, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, all these things are already in the Claymore (manga) article, which in fact never intended to just represent the manga alone (it just says "manga" because "Claymore" is a different article) and also includes a anime section with episodes, soundtrack etc. Since anime and manga are so similar it's useless to have the same information in two seperate articles. (If ever the anime universe should become bigger with a second season etc, it's different, but that won't happen that soon, if ever.)
Imho a seperate anime article makes sense only if it actually includes anime related information like soundtrack, staff, episodes and all things that are in fact specific to the anime (and even then I don't think it is very useful). Characters and plot etc aren't needed twice (especially since "characters" has its own article anyway).
So far this article here doesn't include anything that is anime only, apart from the small part about differences (which isn't even complete). My opinion anyway Minikui 18:38, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First, and foremost, this article shouldn't exist. It should be a subset of the Claymore (manga) article under its own heading. Any information here (and 90% of this article is in-universe information anyway) can easily be incorporated in the main article. See Bleach (manga) for a similar formation, and Bleach is much more well known and popular than the Claymore manga. The only cases where the anime would deserve an article is when it is disparate enough from the other elements or is notable enough to receive its own article, and this is when it cannot reasonably be incorporated into the central article. The principle example is The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (anime), and this is the extreme side of the spectrum, with its popularity and related events far outstripping most anime. As such, this article should be merged. As for the episode list, it definitely should not be merged. It is notable on its own, WP:ANIME sports a sizable list of FL anime episode lists, and heck, it's going for FL status on its own. At the current juncture, I'm going to remove the merge tag, as it shouldn't be merged even if this article is kept. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 07:45, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
