origin of the name

[edit]

Any info on the origin of the name? From what I know of the name, Darboy is a family name in France (with variation such as D'arbois, Darbois) with some famous people such as an archbishop of Paris in the XIXth century and also a name of some locations. --Dionysostom 15:19, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I removed this edit because it's garbled nonsense: (1.) Darboy isn't a "region"; it's an unincorporated settlement/community; (2.) Darboy isn't in between any jurisdiction; it's in the Town of Buchanan; (3.) the towns of Buchanan and Harrison aren't municipalities; villages and cities are municipalities; towns aren't. 32.218.152.53 (talk) 15:40, 3 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ongoing misunderstanding

[edit]

As the IP mentions in the thread above this article is about the entire unincorporated community. The "sanitation district" is part of that but does not supersede it. If there is some way to add a section about the SD in the body of the article with references that would be acceptable but the changing of the title is not. How about a simple statement that "Darboy Sanitary District serves the area" with [1] as a source? 32.218.34.177 (talk) 23:09, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
While the source is WP:PRIMARY I still think it can be used for the purpose of a mention in the article. Please proceed as you see fit and thanks for taking the time to research this. MarnetteD|Talk 01:03, 12 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
