Deletion

[edit]

This page shouldn't be deleted, the European Accord differs enough from the North American one to have its own page. I'll expand the article soon. DaFinch 19:40, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Although I was origionally against merging European information into the US article, we should either merge the two, or extract both European and Japanese information from the US article. In many cases, Euro Accords are the same as JDM Accords (first and second generation Accords are almost identical in Japan and Europe). Nicholas SL Smith 19:33, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It is very hard "divide" the Accord into JDM, USDM and EUDM models (not to mention such approach can be accused of inherent systematic bias), as there was no such clear division during the model's lifetime. There were many different models with different chassis and bodies, but the division did not go along such easily identifiable lines. Therefore, this article makes little sense and I am advocating a merger. PrinceGloria 20:58, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
PS. All Accords were almost identical in the first generations, a major split only occured with the fifth generation (CD chassis) and the debut of the Swindon-built Accord saloon based on the Ascot Innova.
Shall this article be deleted then? Currently I see no useful reason to leave it here. It gives the appearence of describing European Accords; but, in reality, may actually have less information on European Accords than does the main Accord page. Nicholas SL Smith 23:45, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, in essence, yes. PrinceGloria 23:50, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Since this article remains as it is a stub, along with seeming consensus to merge, as well as the fact that article has clearly not grown despite user's promises, redirecting to Honda Accord.Ht/c 01:28, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong picture shown

[edit]

The picture in the article ist the European Accord from 1993 to 1997 (5th Generation). It was built in Swindon / Great Britain and was only available in Europe. It is the wrong picture to the text. Look into the main article. There are pictures of the 7th Generation of the Accord. My Name: CWeitzer, registered at wikipedia.de and I'm writing the Honda articles there. --90.187.41.17 09:27, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
