Deletion[edit]

A deletion tag was placed on this page and I have removed it. AT PRESENT I think that would be rash, though that doesn't necessarily mean the article need be kept. Originally we had a very interesting general article on kirk, but as it grew, some people wanted to split it up. This list of places with the element kirk didn't fit into any of the new little articles, so I stuck it here. It would be a shame to lose this - it is NOT all in the disambiguation article by any means. This list is useful, and may well grow. But I would have no objection to deletion if the material can be put elsewhere and then left alone. --Doric Loon 13:21, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why so many splits to begin with? This is an absurd amount of WP:FORKing for no apparent reason. The pages aren't that big, there is no need for them to be split.
