[edit]The article makes no mention of Liebig's ranch, located in Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), which was 1.2 million acres in extent and possibly the largest single unit cattle ranch in the world. Nor is any mention made of the Liebig's factory located at West Nicholson.
- It was pretty small compared to Anna Creek station - 6 million acres. Lisiate 00:39, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
My father, Harry Wooles, worked for several years in the 1930s at the Liebig's Ranch (called Muzunga, I think). He and my mother lived there briefly after their marriage and were then transferred to West Nicholson where my father worked in the meat factory. I was born in West Nicholson and lived there until I was 12 when my father was transferred to another Liebig's factory in Kosti in the Anglo Egyptian Sudan. The article says little of the activities of the company during the WWII years when it provided Bully Beef for the Allied troops. I would welcome comments from other persons familiar with the various Liebig and Liebig-related factories in Africa. My Grandfather Peter Webster was Managing Director of Liebigs, Southern Rhodesia during the 1930s and into the 1940s. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.100.103.252 (talk) 00:16, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
My father, Colin Snell, worked at the Liebig Corned beef factory at Kosti in the 50s and was sent back by Liebigs to manage its closure around 1959. This was due to the corporate misunderstanding of the value of cattle to the local population who were only willing to sell for slaughter during the famine. 83.100.217.63 (talk) 23:19, 23 March 2016 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.100.217.63 (talk) 23:08, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
