Wine auction[edit]
Not worthy of comment in the main article, but of possible interest to passing researchers, is an auction, by Messrs. Christie Manson & Woods, on 15 April 1896, “The Property of C. J. Lucas, Esq. From Warnham Court, Horsham, Including large Bins of old Pale and Golden Sherries, Choice Clarets and Hocks, old Vintage Ports of 1847, 1853 and 1861”. (My picture #20030.)
