Although this is a former, one-mile route (the worst of both worlds there), the RD should still get expanded. For example, what was the road that M-122 traveled on like? FYI, the portion of the roadway to the east of S. State St. was never transferred to the State Highway Department and determined as a trunkline highway route, so the mileage as surmised here in this article is incorrect. M-122 never proceeded across S. State St. and into the State Ferry Dock No.3 facility itself. Additionally, this article completely ignores the north-south component of the former route of M-122 which more than doubles the length of the route and plays an integral part of the route's history. The "Ferry Lane" portion of former M-122 only existed for less than eight years of the route's existence and, assuming route markers were potentially removed when the Mackinac Bridge was opened in late-1957, the "Ferry Lane" segment was only likely signed as part of M-122 for six years at most, yet it appears in this article as the only segment of the route that existed. It would be nice if official State Highway Department figures and information for the length and route of this former state trunkline highway were used in this (and many other Wikipedia) articles."
