1965 shoot

[edit]

The earliest Peter Beard fashion spread I have come across is Queen 3 November 1965 (UK magazine). It was shot in Africa, in colour, and is impressive. It unusually includes black models. Queen had used a black model (Donyale Luna) for the first time only in the preceding 20 October issue. Adamsez (talk) 09:47, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Just a note, but the article seems to say that Beard collaborated with Francis Bacon - the link is to the Francis Bacon who'd been deceased 300 years prior to Beard's birth. Not sure where the error is, but this should be corrected. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.10.182.7 (talk) 18:37, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Death

[edit]

Page Six has reported that his remains have been found. The NYT previously reported that he'd gone missing. More reliable sources will soon follow on the conclusion of the investigation (his likely death). More edits to follow. Wikieditor19920 (talk) 21:11, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sexual violence

[edit]

Beard’s art and life blurred boundaries and his sexual violence was traumatic. 2.221.59.70 (talk) 02:47, 2 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
