Wording
[edit]"It was patterned after an event for British Volunteers called the Queen's Match, a competition started by Queen Victoria in order to increase the ability of Britain's marksmen following the Crimean War, which the National Rifle Association of Great Britain initiated in 1860." The National Rifle Association started the Crimean War? 75.71.202.154 (talk) 12:24, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
- Reworded. Thanks for the catch. I hope it means what it's supposed to mean now. --ScreaminEagle (talk) 19:39, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Marines
[edit]Why aren't the Marines eligible? MisawaSakura (talk) 23:26, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- I believe they are. Marines can compete and earn the title, but their uniform regulations do not allow them to wear the tab or brassard. The reason why should be taken up with the Marine Crops.--McChizzle (talk)

- The article is about the President's Hundred "Tab," not the President's Hundred. The Marines cannot wear the tab or the brassard variant, so...--McChizzle (talk) 20:28, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
- But it should be mentioned that they can't wear it. This is why I rarely talk to people on talk pages. 01:17, 19 November 2023 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by MisawaSakura (talk • contribs)

- If you can find a good source that writes about the Marines not wearing the tab (proves a negative), add it to the article and write about it vs doing what you don't want to do, which is talk about it on a talk page.--McChizzle (talk) 23:33, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
