Where this came from
[edit]This article was originally part of the article Rocket 88 but I spun it off to here as the other article is supposed to only be about the song. The original material was posted by an anonymous editor and is unsourced. I've tried to clean this up as best I can but I'm totally unfamiliar with this group so can do no more. That's why I have added the "unreferenced" tag. 23skidoo 16:37, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
Dates?
[edit]If Rocket 88 Boogie was released in 1948, how can the first known use of the phrase be in relation to a car that only came to market the following year? MongogramForCandy (talk) 09:49, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
- I've seen various dates suggested for "Rocket 88 Boogie", including 1949 and (here) 1950. Discogs gives 1948 but may be wrong. Ghmyrtle (talk) 11:44, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
