[edit]Anyone can assure Lou Reed is on lead vocals? In the disk I have Nico is on lead but I don't know if it is the original version. Kokotero (talk) 08:08, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
I agree it definitely sounds like Nico on the album version. I've heard live versions where Lou Reed sings lead vocals, & it sounds very different! Daywøød (talk) 15:20, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
another cover
[edit]The first ever cover of Sunday Morning was by a Dutch band The Riats in 1967. It was the b-side to another VU cover they did - Run Run Run. It's extremely unusual to find covers of the VU whilst they were still in existence as they were pretty much a well-kept secret. To find two on one single from 1967 by a Dutch band is almost unbelievable. You can hear The Riats' Run Run Run on The Highlights In the Lowlands comp on Kick. But I don't believe their Sunday Morning has ever been comped. Possibly worth paying £90 for the copy of Discogs to find out what it's like. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.173.113.31 (talk) 19:51, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
So who is the singer?
[edit]It's definitely a woman's voice. Which rules out Nico! Nah she's lovely but her voice is very deep and her German accent very obvious. It's not her. It's not Lou because he's a man. Plus we've heard plenty of Lou's voice.
I always thought maybe they'd given Mo a turn to sing, like in "I'm sticking with you". It does sound like her pitch, and has a little of her nervous amateurism, her not really being a singer.
I can't believe on such a legendary album, that nobody knows who sings one song!
