Reviewer: Wizardman Operation Big Bear 03:28, 18 June 2010 (UTC) Overall this is a very good, detailed article, though there are some problems:[reply]

  • There are several deadlinks and ones where the URL changed, so they could be deadlinks soon. All are located here. (I don't like using Yahoo for refs since there's tend to change and die quite frequently)
    •  Done - Links were checked and adjusted. Some links that were dead and could not be retrieved were removed. Several Yahoo! links that were listed were still alive when checked and kept. Chris (talk) 21:35, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Dan Joye (all from United States)" from can be removed, or added in the Canada part for consistency.
    •  Done - Joye is from the US and was kept as such. The word "from" between all and United States was removed though. Chris (talk) 21:35, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Skeleton held their first practice down the full length of the course on 15 February 2010" sounds a bit oddly worded as is. Maybe change to 'the first skeleton practice began down...'
  • I would trim the Bobsleigh section a bit. It's awfully long when it has its own article (twice as long as the luge and skeleton sections) For example, we can probably take out the actual high temperature on the 21st, really the fact that it was moved due to expectations is what matters in this case.
    • Temperature part on 21st removed. What other parts do you suggest? The reason the bobsleigh part is so long is that despite only having three events, it takes six competition days to complete all three events, literally taking up the second half of the Winter Olympics. Chris (talk) 21:48, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • "FIBT stated that its goal was to have all driver to have a minimum of 40 runs at the track" Confusing wording. 'all drivers have' you mean?
    •  Done - driver changed to drivers. Chris (talk) 21:48, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Australia withdrew its four-man team on 23 February 2010 after two of its crew members, Duncan Harvey and Duncan Pugh, suffered concussions to crashes while training on the track." 'concussions to crashes' sounds a bit odd.
    •  Done - reworded to "...concussions from crashes sustained while training..." Chris (talk) 21:48, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • "In the final run, Russia 2 crashed" huh? Same for the Germany 2, not sure what that means. If there's two separate bobsleigh teams per country make that clear.
    •  Done - Both sentences reworded for clarity. Chris (talk) 21:48, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Also, some of those above are hyphenated (Russia-1) and some not (Russia 2). Keep it consistent.
    •  Done - Hyphens added for all sleds mentioned. Chris (talk) 21:48, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • The First Nations note is interesting; were there any protests by them during construction? That would be good to add if there were.
    • I don't know. An e-mail was sent earlier today to Emil Anderson Construction of Hope, BC since they were the General Contractor of the venue. As soon as I find out something from them, it will be posted on this page. Chris (talk) 22:01, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • "To promote sustainability, the site was selected directly adjacent to already disturbed area within a major ski area." Seems like it's missing a word or two.
    •  Done - Reworded upon review. Chris (talk) 22:01, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • In the sustainability section, since it all uses the same ref you can just have one footnote at the end of the paragraph.
    •  Done - Single footnote done instead of multiple per request. Chris (talk) 22:01, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mostly though it's a good article. The first point's the only major issue. I'll put the GA on hold for a few days and pass it when the above is completed. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 03:14, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have done per request. Have one question that I need answered listed as such. The one regarding the First Nations potential protest has had an e-mail sent to the general contractor for an answer. I hope they will respond by the end of the week. Chris (talk) 22:01, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Alright. For the other question, I'm not sure exactly what should be removed; if that really was as much of the olympics as it sounds, maybe it's alright to leave it as is. I'll think it over. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 16:14, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, seeing as how everything else is fixed, I'm just going to pass this article now, as that extra info won't make or break it. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 00:23, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
