Merger proposal[edit]

I propose that Zlín Z 526 be merged into Zlín Z-26 as the former is a variant of the latter and both articles are already fairly short. - ZLEA T\C 15:07, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Comment. I am not sure. On the face of it, yes, this split is pointless. But the articles do not bring out the longstanding distinction, over many versions, of the single-seat Akrobat vs the two-seat Trener. The key advantage of a split for these shorter articles is the ability to provide detailed specification sections for different marks. Here, one for a typical Trener and another for a typical Akrobat would be the obvious way to go, if some kind of split were to be maintained. But do we have enough information yet to structure the split sensibly? Some military history on the one hand and acrobatic career highlights on the other would help fill out their respective articles, but we don't have all that yet. Meanwhile, what to do? I would be inclined to refocus - and rename - each article around the Trener and Akrobat, say Zlín Z-26 Trener and Zlín Akrobat (which is currently a redirect). Then just do the best we can until they fill out. If that goes badly, then revisit a merge in a year or so. But in truth, I have no strong feelings at this stage. Don't know if that helps. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 15:40, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
