Tally Ho is an Australian brand of cigarette rolling paper distributed by Imperial Tobacco Australia. The packaging of the product aims to appeal to Australian patriotism, with many assertions such as 'Australia's Finest' and 'Australia's No.1 paper for over 60 years'. It also offers pieces of trivia on the packaging which again appeal to Australian patriotism, such as 'Australia's dingo fence is twice the length of the Great Wall of China' and 'Australia has more beaches than any other country - about 7,000'.
Ironically, the product is produced in Belgium, and this was stated previously only on the inside of the packaging where it was normally not visible. Probably due to complaints regarding this, at some point during 2005, packaging changed to include the notice 'Made in Belgium' on the outside back cover. Tally-Ho also finds use by some players of single reed instruments, who use it to cover their teeth, preventing lip damage.
Tally-Ho rolling papers were also widely used by Mechanical engineers in zeroing their milling machines by placing wet paper on the material and placing the cutting tool next to the material when the paper flicked off this meant it was at "zero". This is why there is a ruler on the package. And also where the motto "Make it a rule, just say tally-ho" came from.
