Tokyo Prefectural Office and Tokyo City Hall, Taishō period

Tōkyō-fu (東京府, or Tōkei-fu)[1] is a former Japanese prefecture. It was disbanded in 1943 and its municipalities, including Tokyo City, became part of the newly formed Tokyo Metropolis (東京都, Tōkyō-to).[2]
