Tsuchiura Station (土浦駅, Tsuchiura eki) is an East Japan Railway Company (JR East) railway station located in Tsuchiura, Ibaraki, Japan.

Line

Tsuchiura station is served by the Jōban Line.

History

  • 4 November 1895: Tsuchiura Station opens.
  • 17 April 1918: Tsukuba Railway Line opens from Tsuchiura Station to Iwase Station.
  • 26 October 1943: Three trains crash at Tsuchiura killing 110 people.
  • 1 April 1987: Tsukuba Railway Line closes.
