Ulvøysund is a village and an outport in Lillesand, Aust-Agder, Norway. West of the outport is Kvåsefjorden, which is the maritime boundary between the counties of Aust-Agder and Vest-Agder. Eastwards is the inland waterway of Blindleia towards Lillesand.

The oldest sign of activity in Ulvøysund, is found by the oldest shipwreck in the approach of Kvåsefjorden. It was archaeologically investigated in 2011 by the Norwegian Maritime Museum, and a piece of a reindeer antler from the finding was later C-14 dated to the period 1020-1030.[1][2]

In the Middle Ages Ulvøysund was populated. From the 14th century still exists a letter written by a bishop of Bergen that stayed weather-bound in Ulvøysund. A compass rose carved into the rock on Ulvøya is possibly from the 15th century.

The outport is mentioned on Dutch maps from the 16th century as Wolfsondt.

Ulvøysund's oldest house still standing, has been a guest house. The house's oldest parts is probably from the 17th century[3][4]
