Urgnano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Bergamo in the Italian region of Lombardy, located about 45 km northeast of Milan and about 11 km south of Bergamo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 8,704 and an area of 14.0 km².[3]

The municipality of Urgnano contains the frazione (subdivision) Basella.

Urgnano borders the following municipalities: Cavernago, Cologno al Serio, Comun Nuovo, Ghisalba, Spirano, Zanica.
